To fix it go to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\TrimblePivotWeb and open AppSettings.config with Notepad++ and on line 77 replace “localhost” with DB server name. Save, close and restart IIS.
After loading an update Pivot Web gives a run time error when you try to open the website in the browser.
